College Football Report - Thursday Picks - Week 10

Virginia Tech (4-4) @ Miami (Fla.) (4-4)
Vs.
7:30 ET, ESPN, Thur. Nov. 1, Sun Life Stadium, Miami, FL
Rulers of the Thursday night game, the Canes and Hokies have long been staples of ESPN Thursday night broadcasts, many times playing one another. Miami stands 15-3 all-time on Thursday night. Both teams come in fully rested and healed off bye weeks, but Miami may have benefited more with having starting quarterback Stephen Morris rest his ankle one more week. ACC Coastal rights sit on the line with both teams still in the running for a weak ACC division this season. Sun Life Stadium is seldom a hostile environment, if ever, but there’s something about the ‘Canes playing on Thursday nights. Miami hung tight against the Hokies with their running game last year, but it’ll be the passing game and combo of Morris and wideout Phillip Dorsett that bring home victory tonight. The away team moves to 1-5 over six years in the series. Pick: Miami (Fla.) 37 – Virginia Tech 31
